We craft modern sustainable power-dressing for women. Emphasizing sophisticated styling, perfect cuts and a focus on high quality,
we aim to bring a global sensibility to Indian fashion.
Through the brand, we want to empower women to break stereotypes surrounding fashion, and be their independent, fearless selves.
Whether it’s the workplace, home or a social environment - clothing is one of the strongest expressions of a person’s aesthetic and ethic.
Six Buttons Down wants its women to feel strong, ambitious and brave all odds to achieve success.
WHO WE ARE
Six Buttons Down is a Bangalore, India based design studio. Abhilekha Shetty, B.A (Hons.) from Pearl Academy started this journey along with
her mother Ramani Shetty, a seasoned design professional for over 30 years.
HOW WE MAKE
Every piece of garment is hand-made in the studio. Our textiles are hand-woven, minimizing environmental impact.
Working with hand-woven fabrics made from recycled yarns is our first step towards circularity. By using this process, we keep textile waste
from going into landfills, save several litres of water and support the handloom sector.
We also work with natural fabrics and factory dead-stocks.
MADE TO BE MADE AGAIN
To make sure that our pieces don’t go back to the landfill, we have initiated our take-back program #madetobemadeagain which gives
new life to our products. Our customers can return our worn or torn products and we will convert them into textiles to make clothing or furnishing.
